ZashPay® is Upgrading to Popmoney®: What Does This Mean?

On June 10, 2012, Arvest will be enhancing the current ZashPay® personal payments service by combining the best features of the existing service with Popmoney® person-to-person payments service.  

What’s Popmoney?

Popmoney is a person-to-person payments service similar to ZashPay but with additional features.  As the leader in the industry of person-to-person payment services, Popmoney exceeds the current ZashPay service by offering an even larger national payments network and is even easier to use. 

With Popmoney, you’ll be able to take advantage of new features such as:

  • Sending eGreetings to friends and family
  • Importing contacts from popular email services
  • Adding contacts with account information (adding with email address & phone number will still be available)
  • Access to your personal information from a centralized to-do list
  • Setting up future-dated and recurring payments
  • & much more!

What does this mean for you?

This means you will have a more convenient and versatile person-to-person payment service, offered directly from Arvest! 

We are working hard behind the scenes to ensure the upgrade process is completely seamless for you.  After the upgrade, you will access Popmoney within your online bill payment center within Arvest Online Banking in the same way you would access ZashPay today.  The only change will be the tab name, which will change to Popmoney.

Why does it take three or four days for Zash Pay to post in another account?

 I could live with it posting the next day, but four days makes it pretty much useless. It would be much better if you could speed that up a little bit.

Howard – PayPal lets you send and receive payments only via your account with PayPal.  To make a payment, you must first fund your account (through a linked bank account or credit card); to receive a payment, you must transfer it to the bank or credit card in order to use it for anything other than a PayPal purchase. Using Popmoney eliminates that middle step, resembling the process often used in electronic bill payments.  Another plus:  Popmoney is offered through Arvest Online BillPay without Online Banking.  Therefore, it doesn’t require you to provide personal account information or other sensitive information like your Social Security Number or date of birth like PayPal or similar services would.  I hope this answer was helpful to you, Howard!

Grant – Many factors can come into play in how long it takes for a payment to post.  For instance, if the receiver hasn’t signed up yet, the process can take much longer than expected.  However, with Popmoney, more payments will be available for next-day processing and should make the transaction much quicker.  If you have questions about a specific payment(s), please feel free to call us at (866) 952-9523.

Your conversion was a blindsided event that was totally unexpected and not adverrtised.  Some of the PopMoney do not know what they are talking about.  There as a party going on in the background (laughing and a lot of loud talking going on).  Also, there was the requirement to furnish an ID before a transaction would be complete.   NOT GOOD AT ALL.

It takes way too long to receive funding! They should eliminate someone having to sign up! That's why I'm sticking with my current service through MerchantInc.com
